Chiron: The Mantle of Spiritual Maturity

My latest episode of Stars, Stones, and Stories entitled Chiron: The Mantle of Spiritual Maturity is now live. Collectively we are finding our way after the profound marriage between Venus and Mars this past Tuesday, enacting the sacred rites of hierosgamos. This conjunction closes out a seven year cycle, and offers each one of us to consider the tension between personal and impersonal love, passion and detachment, the archetypes of the Lion and the Unicorn. The invitation is for you to take some time to reflect where you were in the summer of 2015 to where you are now to see the larger vision.

This Saturday the 17th of July is likely to be intense. We are feeling the urge to grow and expand from last week's New Moon, meanwhile the Cancer Sun opposes Pluto in Capricorn. Pluto serves our healing in the end, however the path may demonstrate the spaces where we attempt control and manipulation. There are still many layers to process and grief to acknowledge. The way out is through.

On Monday the 19th of July Vesta, goddess of devotion and personal integration shifts her attention to harmonious learning and the diplomatic sharing of ideas. Mercury in Cancer also squares Chiron in Aries, so there may be a call to communicate that which is being healed. 

All of this week's aspects lead us to the heart of Mary Magdalene, as we welcome her Feast day on Thursday, July 22nd. This year's feast day is elegantly aligned with Venus shifting into Virgo and the Sun transiting into Leo. There is great potential for understanding the path of the Magdalene through the archetype of the Virgin, which Virgo symbolizes. A Virgin is a being who is truly sovereign and has full dominion over their body as a living and vibrating temple. This simple, yet deep topic is one that personally and collectively as humans we still seem to struggle with.
