Each year on the 22nd of July people around the world celebrate the life of Mary Magdalene. This year's Mary Magdalene's Feast Day is especially powerful as the Sun shifts into the sign of Leo and Venus stations retrograde at 28°36' Leo at 9:33 pm EDT.
Countless people have woven Mary Magdalene's story, yet she lives within the veils of mystery.
For me, she is more than a woman, she is an archetypal force. In today's evolving culture there is a lure to be a Magdalene Priestess, to honor the path of the Rose, to step into sacred sexuality and to work with the wisdom of the womb. I believe all of this is beautiful as it displays the times we live within and how so many of us are longing for initiation and community.
Yet, I believe Mary Magdalene ultimately stood for sovereignty and freedom. I believe her path was unfortunately not easy, and I believe high respect must be offered for the gates that she opened for our collective. Although I do not flaunt my connection to MM, her frequency has a hand in every aspect of EarthSeed Temple Arts.
The path of the Magdalene has lead me to facilitate pilgrimages in Avalon, the South of France and Egypt. It is well known that MM served as a High Priestess of Goddess Isis. I am incredibly grateful for the breakthroughs of MM in her life, and how she continues to guide and teach us collectively as the Magdalenes.
