As the moon wanes it's a good time to clear out that which you no longer need. I suggest to take inventory of how you spend your energy and time and to observe the patterns that you may be ready to be release. Spring is right around the corner, so this is a fantastic time to clean out your closets, cabinets and cars.
Over the years, I have found the more I flow in harmony with the moon's cycles, the more my life flows with time and space. In the technology of Kundalini Yoga we like to consider important phases of the moon, particularly from the new moon to the 4th day of the moon, and the 11th day to the full.
Today in Women's Kundalini Yoga at West Asheville Yoga we will begin a 12 week exploration into the 11 Moon Centers of Woman. Women are lunar beings and literally have 11 areas of the body that are rhythmically affected by the tides of the moon. From an astrological lens this is also about the amount of time the moon is in any given sign, however this technology stands on it's own and the rhythm is different than the astrological currents or a woman's menstrual cycle.
Men are solar beings, steady like the sun. This is why in these teachings it is suggested a man grow a beard to protect the chin from the flow of the moon.
We are the medicine.
